Jumping Joey’s Number Line (JJNL)
Looking to increase math achievement, test scores, and grades for Pre-K through Elementary students, while they are having fun?
JumpingJoey’s NumberLine® is a mathematics program that works on its own or with existing curricula to teach all four arithmetic operations. Using essential psychology and education learning principles, JJNL supports National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and Common Core State Standards. With its multi-sensory approach to math learning, Jumping Joey’s Number Line instills a mental number line in children that helps build number sense, computational fluency, and long-term understanding. By teaching how to represent and estimate numbers accurately, JJNL enhances students' memory, and develops lasting self-confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Students use Jumping Joey figures or their own bodies to navigate the Number Line as they perform various arithmetic operations. Together with mats and books, specially created, multi-colored, multi-sided numerical and operations dice create a full range of math exercises. Moreover, students can seamlessly solve their existing schoolwork and homework problems. Jumping Joey’s Number Line is also very helpful for solving word problems, allowing for diverse learning opportunities. JJNL lets students to work through problems visually and kinesthetically, while they work on paper. Students benefit from learning experientially, rather than by rote.
All products come with in-depth instructions that make learning easy to understand. Materials come in their own cases for easy storage. Products can be used separately, without prior experience, or in conjunction with each other.
