AMEP consists of all our subsidiary companies. AMEP is an acronym for our company, American Educational Products. American Educational Products has four major brands which are Ginsberg Scientific, Hubbard Scientific, Scott Resources and National Teaching Aids. Gonge, Koontz, Match Learner, Yellow Tails, VIRTmac, and Body IQ are all product lines in which AMEP is the distributor in the Americas.

Where should I send my orders?

What are the forms of payment acceptable? What are acceptable forms of payment.

A: Check, money order if mailed in w/ order; otherwise, Discover, Master Card, Visa and AMEX. AMEP accepts approved school purchase orders, credit cards or orders mailed with checks or money orders.

Do you accept purchase orders?

We accept school purchase orders. Please fax in your PO# to 970-484-1198 We accept approved school purchase orders. Please fax your PO to 970-484-1198. Note that we require all school purchase orders to be faxed however if you are paying with a credit card you can place your order online.

School Purchase Order Numbers require a fax copy of original P.O. to be sent to our fax number: if you are paying with a credit card, then continue to place the order online.

What credit cards do you accept?

A: If you wish to use a credit card, we accept Discover, Master Card, Visa and AMEX. Discover, MasterCard, Visa and American Express are all accepted credit cards.

Will AMEP charge sales tax on my order?

A: No. Taxes will not be added unless the "bill to address" is Colorado or Wisconsin Sales tax is charged only if the “bill to address” is located in Colorado or Wisconsin.

How do I get a Material Safety Data Sheet? Where can I find MSDS information?

What is AMEP’s product guarantee?

A: 1 Year against defect in product. AMEP offers a 1 year warranty on defective products.

What are the extra "hazmat" charge for? Are there extra charges for products labeled "HAZ-MAT?"

A: Sur charges $25.00/Item. UPS will assess a $25.00 surcharge for products containing hazardous materials. These products may only be shipped within the 48 contiguous states via UPS Ground. Please note each product with the HAZ-MAT symbol will be subject to these feesHazard. AMEP will evaluate each order and ship in the most efficient and economical way.

Issues - Returns

What is an RA?

A: Return authorization, which is assigned by a customer service representative RA stands for return authorization. A return authorization number must accompany and clearly be labeled on all returns and can only be provided by a customer service representative. Please note that no return will be accepted without an RA number.

Can I return or exchange my purchase?

A: Returns and claims.(take out the “returns and claims”….not needed) Returns will not be accepted without a return authorization number (RA#), which can be assigned by a customer service representative. In order to efficiently process your returns, all boxes should be clearly marked on the outside with the RA#. Returned goods that have not been authorized or do not have the assigned RA# on the box will be refused without exception. Returns must be made within 30 days of receipt of order. All returned items must be currently inventoried by AMEP and must be in salable condition.

What is a back order and how do I know when it will ship?

A: Back order is an item that is not in stock and will be shipped as soon as it becomes available. Item(s) on back order will also be noted on the packling list. You will be contacted, by email, when a product is on backorder. A backorder is an item that is not in stock and will be shipped as soon as it becomes available. You will be notified by a customer service representative when an item is on backorder. Please note that all backorders are subject to shipping charges.

What if there appears to be a missing component? What if my shipment is missing an item or an item is missing a component?

Shipping Questions

How do I know what shipping charges are going to be?

A: Minimum of $7.95 or 10%, whichever is greater; exceptions are oversized packages, shipments containing products labeled HAZ-MAT and international shipments.

Where will my product be shipped from? From what state does my product ship?

A: Colorado and Wisconsin are the two locations we ship from. AMEP has two warehouse locations; one in Fort Collins, Colorado and one in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Please note that applicable shipping charges apply per shipment, per warehouse.

When will my order ship?

A: 14 working days of order entry. All in stock items usually leave our warehouse within 7 days. You will be notified of any backorders which ship as soon as they become available.

Will I be able to track my order via the UPS web site?

NO, NOT AT THIS TIME. Although tracking information is not provided through our website, UPS tracking information will be automatically sent to the email address provided once the order ships. Packages can be tracked by going to www.ups.com and entering your tracking number. How do I care for my Raised Relief Map?

A: Wash w/ warm, soapy water and dry w/ soft cloth. Avoid sunlight. Wash your map with warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid placing the map in direct sunlight.
