Simply shake the container thoroughly before use, place it on a magnet, and linesof- force will be seen immediately. To use the Magnetic Line-of-Force Viewer, the instrument is rotated and shaken up and down, until the iron powder is well mixed with liquid. Next, a magnet or electromagnet is pushed into the hole and lines-of-force may be clearly seen.
